Boise Pecha Kucha is an event designed by creative entrepreneurs FOR creative entrepreneurs. Join us for an engaging night of conversation among our creative community in Boise. We’ll hear from 12 creative entrepreneurs in the Pecha Kucha structured event, with an informal reception to follow where you’ll be able to continue the conversation with speakers and fellow attendees.
Welcome to the inaugural Boise Pecha Kucha Fall 2022, hosted by Studio Ostendo, Co.!
Pecha Kucha translates as “the sound of conversation” or “chit-chat” in Japanese. Its creators wanted a space to share ideas and messages through presentations. To avoid the trap of rambling speakers, a Pecha Kucha event sets time and slide limits. In a similar way to a Haiku poem, Pecha Kucha forces the speaker to creatively arrange their message within a strict form. Our format—18 slides lasting just 15 seconds each—will give presenters just 4 minutes and 30 seconds to speak!
Thursday, November 17 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at Boise State's College of Innovation and Design on the second floor of the Library, 1865 W Cesar Chavez Ln, Boise, ID 83725.
Attendees should register for their free ticket using the link above.
Attendees will be responsible for their own parking. Parking information will be shared with attendees via email.
Boise Pecha Kucha is for the creative community of Boise and the Treasure Valley. If you’re a local creative or an ally of the arts, we can’t wait to see you there!
